memefab is on the GIWA Sepolia testnet. Testnet ETH and tokens have no monetary value. Memecoins can go to zero — play small, for fun.
Clean room (the first 30 seconds)
Most memecoin launches are decided in the first few blocks by bots that buy before people can react. The clean room makes that early buying expensive rather than forbidden.
The rules
For the first 30 seconds after a token launches:
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Extra buy fee | Starts at 50% at launch and decays linearly to 0% at 30 s |
| Per-wallet cap | No wallet can buy more than 1% of the curve supply (8,000,000 tokens) during the window |
| Sells | Not restricted. Sells pay only the normal 1% fee |
| Transfers | Not restricted |
After 30 seconds there is no extra fee and no cap.
Example: a buy 6 seconds after launch pays an extra fee of about 40%. At 15 seconds it is about 25%, and at 27 seconds about 5%. The trade panel always shows the exact live figure before you sign.
Where the clean-room fee goes
Into that token's graduation liquidity. It is kept separate from the curve reserve and added to the DEX pool when the token graduates. It does not go to memefab or to the creator, so a creator gains nothing by sniping their own token.
Edge case
The pool is seeded at the curve's final price, and the 200M reserve tokens can pair with only so much ETH. If
clean-room fees on one token were so large that the extra ETH could not be paired (more than about 1.5 ETH of
clean-room fees), the unpaired remainder goes to the protocol treasury rather than to the creator. This is in
BondingCurve.graduate().
The creator's first buy
The creator's buy inside the creation transaction pays no clean-room fee. It always lands at the moment the fee is highest, and charging it would mean a 50% fee for doing what every launchpad allows. Instead it is:
- disclosed: shown on the Audit tab with its size;
- optionally locked until graduation, if the creator ticks the box at launch;
- held to the window rules after launch. Any later buy by the creator's address in the first 30 seconds pays the clean-room fee like everyone else.
There is no presale, no whitelist and no allocation. Apart from the creator's disclosed first buy, everyone buys from the same curve under the same rules.
What the clean room cannot do
- It cannot tell one person's many wallets apart. Someone splitting a buy across 20 wallets avoids the per-wallet cap but still pays the fee. The Audit tab shows same-block buys and clean-room activity so you can see the pattern.
- It does not stop buying after 30 seconds. It prices the opening and does not decide who wins it.
Check it
The window and fee are stored per token. currentSnipeFeeBps(token) on the curve contract returns the live
clean-room fee in basis points.
